Batters bring back familiar faces

Monday -- The Inglorious Batters have made their first offseason player signings under new team manager Matt Murphy.

On Monday the Batters announced they have signed Michael O'Connell, Troy Hoyt, and Ryan Hoyt all to one year contracts.

Troy Hoyt was the former General Manager of the Inglorious Batters who began play in 2019. Unfortunately a (6-14) record was not enough to get them into a postseason position. But Troy looks to come back into the Bay State League with a higher hit total and add to his two career homeruns.

Michael O'Connell was one of the most productive players offensively and defensively for the Batters last season. Totaling 12 hits and a team high .364 Batting average. O'Connell is on his way to becoming a league all-star.

Lastly, the return of Ryan Hoyt is a huge one for the Batters defense. Though he was limited at the plate with five hits in his rookie campaign, it was his defense that proved to be the difference maker for many close games.
