Frost grabs Defensive POTW
FRIDAY ::: Riley Frost has pinned his name in the league's Defensive Player of the Week following a huge victory on the mound for the Nor'easters.
Frost, a Tewksbury native has proven to be the Nor'easters' go-to pitcher. Though he has a 2-2 record he is beginning to find his spot with a huge win over the Mallards last Sunday.
Riley was on the mound for game two of the second season series between the Nor'easters' and Mallards, and he came to play as he led them to a series split and was able to keep his team within range of home-field advantage in the playoffs. Frost allowed just four runs off seven hits against a very offensive Mallards team, he did walk 8 batters but we have seen him improve on his pitch count and remain calm on the dish.
The Nor'easters hold a 3-5 record (third in the Inland league) and look to get to .500% against the Brewers this Sunday.
