Jaxx, Beavers play for leagues top spot

BEVERLY -- The Diamond Jaxx and Beavers headline this weeks' slate of series with a battle of the top two teams in wiffle ball.

The Jaxx, who are having their best season yet (13-2) look to continue their dominance in the league and ride upon a 6-game win streak (swept Brewers last Sunday) With Marescalchi expected to return to the lineup the offense should definitely continue to surge and the defense should get the added boost it needs against a fast running Beavers lineup. 

Matt Murphy looks to continue to lead the Beavers with help from 2021 first overall draft pick Jason Abreu who has a league leading .808 batting average and a team leading 18 RBI's. Expect to see league leader in ERA (1.67) Ryan Hoyt take the mound for at least a game during this three game series scheduled for Sunday August 14, 2022 (12:05 PM ET.)

The last time these two teams met was June 5, the Jaxx would go on to win the series 2-1 (giving up a walk-off to Abreu in game 3)
